On September 5th the full version of Sin Slayers will be released on Steam, a pixel-art RPG in dark fantasy setting. The game is one of the top 200 most wished for games on Steam. Previously there was a demo version of Sin Slayers: The First Sin, which was downloaded more than 100,000 times.

A mixture of platformer, RPG elements and logical puzzles, the Metroidvania genre right now is rebirthing. Let's try to figure out how and when the genre was born and what about it fascinates so many modern players.

From the very beginning, we at Dark Crystal planned to gather a community to involve and engage our future players, a community which would not only monitor our progress, but directly participate in the development of the game: providing ideas for quests, monsters, game mechanics, and random events.
